"I'm the Senior Manager, Citizen Science at National Geographic, and concentrating in ESPP was my first step towards this fascinating, fulfilling career. The interdisciplinary nature of ESPP taught me to think broadly about how to accomplish conservation, and gave me solid grounding in science, policy, economics, and communication skills. The comfort I gained in all those disciplines has served me well throughout my career, which has ranged from studying orangutans in Borneo, to working in a national park in Siberia, to teaching preschool, to working at World Wildlife Fund, the National Audubon Society, and now National Geographic." - Class of '96
