Throughout his career, Agassiz Professor of Biological Oceanography Jim McCarthy has blended his scientific curiosity about life in the oceans with his commitment to a broader public understanding of human impacts on the Earth system. In honor of his 75th year, and in recognition of his many contributions to science, to education, and to the assessment of climate change as a global challenge, the Harvard University Center for the Environment invites you to join Jim along with five visionary leaders in science and policy for a discussion of the future of the oceans and the Earth.
