Diana Sharpe

Dr. Diana Sharpe is the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies for the ESPP concentration. She works closely with the ESPP Board of Tutors to oversee the ESPP undergraduate program and curriculum. Diana provides academic advising and mentoring to undergraduate students, manages the capstone and senior thesis programs, and helps connect ESPP students with undergraduate research opportunities.

               

Diana is an aquatic ecologist whose research focuses on understanding how tropical freshwater fish communities respond to anthropogenic stressors like fishing and biological invasions. Her policy interests include the conservation of imperiled species, management of aquatic invasive species and the monitoring and sustainable management of subsistence fisheries in East Africa and Central America. Prior to joining Harvard University, Diana earned her Ph.D. in Biology from McGill University, and completed two post-doctoral fellowships at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.
