ESPP Interests: Growing up on the coast of North Carolina, water issues have always caught my interest! Academically, I am interested in water management issues and environmental toxicology. Within ESPP, I have been able to take courses on topics such as water and the environment, environmental toxicology, and US environmental policy, all of which have allowed me to expand my knowledge on a number of water-related issues. The breadth of classwork that ESPP provides has allowed me to pursue multiple topics within my interest that I would never have considered exploring otherwise! Outside of the classroom, I have had the opportunity to work in two different labs, first studying methane production in wetlands, and then working studying PFAS contamination in freshwater systems.
