Sylvie Wurmser '27

I am interested in Food Systems and the growing impact of climate change on how we eat and produce food, particularly from a social theory approach. To me, climate change is the issue of our generation and I believe that it will become the battle of our lives to work towards adapting to our changing world. I love hiking, running, and exploring, and I feel passionately about working to protect the natural beauty that we cherish so. I am pursuing a joint concentration with social studies, where I focus on environmental issues and their implications on social theory, and vice versa. I love discussing how to think about ESPP issues relating to other fields as a complement rather than detriment to your ESPP future! I also founded and chair the IOP’s Program on Environmental Politics, and am passionate about creating real and pragmatic changes through policy towards environmental goals.
